About PACT

Parents And Children Together

Parents And Children Together - PACT - has been building and strengthening families since 1911. Back in 1911 PACT was the idea of the then Bishop of Oxford and was established as the social welfare arm of the Anglican Diocese of Oxford. Today PACT continues to be supported by the Diocese in the area of nurturing family life.

PACT helps hundreds of families every year through outstanding adoption and award-winning therapeutic support and inspirational community projects across London and the south of England.

PACT is one of the UK’s leading independent adoption agencies, placing children with secure and loving families. PACT has an extensive range of adoption support available including therapeutic support such as Theraplay and life story work to help children to overcome difficulties in childhood, adolescence and early adulthood which have resulted from early trauma and neglect.

As well as therapeutic input PACT runs a wide ranging series of adopter training courses, facilitates peer support between adopters and also offers an online support service featuring a forum, live chat and adopter training. PACT also runs community projects supporting vulnerable children and adults facing a range of issues including domestic abuse, homelessness and debt.
